Editorial policy
United Cinema Stories aims to make film writing clear, fair and useful without pretending that taste can be settled by a checklist. Our editorial choices are guided by care with facts and openness about interpretation.
Accuracy and corrections
We check factual claims against suitable published material before using them and take care to separate established details from interpretation. If a reader identifies a material error, we review it and correct the article when warranted; significant changes are noted in the article. Readers can send correction requests through the Contact page with the passage in question and any helpful context.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader, not as a condition of a commercial arrangement. We do not promise favourable coverage in return for access, payment or a partnership. Opinions about films and viewing choices are identified as editorial judgement, not universal verdicts.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, supplied or otherwise partner-supported material is clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Partnerships do not determine editorial conclusions. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified as illustrations rather than documentary images.
Interpretation and scope
Film discussion often involves differing readings. We aim to describe what can be observed on screen, explain the reasoning behind a reading and leave room for alternatives. The publication offers cultural and creative discussion, not professional advice.
